Ancient Egyptians believed in many different Gods and Goddesses. All of the Gods and Goddesses controlled different things, and so therefore had different roles in ancient Egypt. Different Gods and Goddesses
Aten
Aten is a god who looks like a sun with only half the rays and has little hands at the end of the rays. Aten’s role is to be the King of all the Gods and Goddesses.
Anubis
Anubis looked like a human, but had the head of a Jackal. He is the son of Nephthys. He was in charge embalming, and the dead.

Ma'at
Ma’at looks like a women that is wearing a feather on her head. Ma’at is the Goddess of truth, justice, and harmony. Her job is to balance things on earth.
Atum
Atum was believed to be the first god that existed on earth. Atum was known as the creator of God, and looked like a man who had a double crown.

Hapy
Hapy looks like a man that has a pot belly and is usually near water plants. Hapy was the god of innundation.
Nun
Nun looks like a man carrying bark, Nun controlled the waters, and was associated with chaos.
