Ancient Egypt has a very important legacy. They have captured the imagination of people for thousands of years. The Egyptians have constructed some of the world's largest monuments and statues without modern technology! Egyptian architecture and art has influenced modern architecture and art. They also made advances in astrology, science and medicine, and astronomy. The culture of ancient egyptians was very interesting and mysterious.

Art & Architecture
Art and architecture was very important in Ancient Egypt and many monuments and statues were made during that time. Egyptian art was mostly statues and sculptures that were life-sized or monumental sculptures. They used a grid to determine the proportions of the human body to make life sized statues and sculptures. Egyptians also designed doorways and use of obelisks. They wrote inscriptions on these obelisks. In modern today, we still use the ideas of Ancient Egyptian architecture and art.
Pyramids & Mathematics
Ancient Egypt also has a well known legacy of magnificent, spectacular pyramids and temples. These stone buildings have inspired countless writers, poets, artists, exc. The pyramids form plays an important role in modern architecture. The Egyptians, also, were very good at mathematics. Pyramids took great skill in mathematics, especially for Egyptian pyramids, which were flawless and impeccable in every way. The Great Pyramid, true by its name, was one of the greatest pyramids every created. It was built by Khufu in 2550 B.C.E., and stands 46 meters (150 feet) high. It has a slope of 51 degrees, and its sides 230 meters (754 feet) tall. It was designed with astonishing accuracy, an amazing legacy to be told and learned by all. These pyramids are the key to understanding the structure of Egyptian society.
Mummification & Medicines
The Egyptians were very smart in there way to preserve dead bodies. Dead bodies buried in the desert would dry out, and so they invented a way to preserve bodies for the afterlife, which they believed in. Mummification was their brilliant idea. This process involved the use of embalming. This process allowed bodies to be well preserved. Ancient Egyptians had amazing medical skill. They had experience in dissecting corpses because they believed in preserving the dead through mummification. This ingenious way of thinking was a stunning contribution to Ancient Egyptian legacy.
Inventions & Discoveries
The inventions and discoveries of Ancient Egypt had a strong impact on modern today, and other civilisations. They invented items that measured time such as the sun dial, water clock and calendar. They developed the basic unit of measuring length, the cubit. Egyptians developed an understanding of medicine and the human body. They also made observations about astrology and astronomy. Ancient Egyptian’s invented papyrus, reed paper. It was used as a type of paper for writing. It was the first paper and was used for thousands of years.
